"Welcome to IE8" pops up every time after upgrading to IE8
I recently reinstalled the system and upgraded the old IE6 to IE8, but every time I open IE, a "Welcome to IE8" window will pop up, and then I'm going to be driven crazy by the settings. Solution:
Run gpedit.msc, User Configuration Administrative Templates, WINDOWS Components, Internet Explorer, find "Prevent First Run Custom Settings", double-click to select Enabled, select "Go directly to the home page" below, and click OK.
