Overview
Allwinner S3, coding chip, SIP DDR3, retains the original V3 chip, and reduces the package size to 11x11mm, which is very suitable for small coding products. The encoding specification is FHD 60FPS, and the supporting SDK is a linux system integrating the original codec library.
The S3 processor represents Allwin's latest achievement in video encoding processors. It integrates a single-arm CortexTM-A7 CPU that operates at a speed of 1.2GHz and supports a variety of peripherals.
The H.264 encoder constructed from 1080p@60fps enables the S3 to capture superb footage with fine detail. To enrich camera features and improve image quality, S3 is equipped with 8m HawkViewTM isp with spatial denoising, chroma denoising, area-based AE/AF/AWB statistics, black level correction, lens shading correction, color correction and anti-flicking Detection statistics. The audio subsystem includes audio codecs with dedicated hardware and supports an I2S/PCM interface for connecting to external audio codecs.
The S3 processor includes a built-in DDR 3, as well as external memory interfaces with spi NAND/NOR flash and sd/mmc.
